About Daniel

Daniel was selected by the Houston Astros in the ninth round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft out of Texas A&M – Corpus Christi.  He led the Appalachian League in ERA and WHIP in 2012.   Daniel won the Midwest League Championship in 2013 with low A Quad Cities River Bandits, and he also won the California League Championship the following year in 2014 with the high A Lancaster Jethawks.   He was named 2012 Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year and first team All-Southland and first team All South Central Region. Daniel led all conference starters with a 2.20 ERA, ranking second with 110 strikeouts, four complete games and 110 1/3 innings pitched.  He collected 4 Southland player of the week awards along with 1 Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week.   Danaiel was named to top 25 division I pitchers watch list as well during his college season.  He tied the single-season school record with 10 wins after transferring from McLennan Community College in Waco, Texas.   Daniel was first team all district and central Texas all star game participant at Dripping Springs High School.  Daniel gave private lessons from 2012-2014 and coached a select team with Taylor Johnson in the Fall of 2013.
