Darby Rollins – Coach

Darby was born in Oceanside, California, where he lived until moving to Wimberley in 2005. Starting baseball at the age of 4, Darby has always been around the game, and started playing with competitive select organizations at the age of 10. After moving to Texas, played with several organizations around Austin along with his high school, San Marcos Academy. After high school, baseball brought Darby to Louisiana College where he pitched for 4 years. During this time Darby helped see his team through 3 American Southwest Conference tournament appearances.

While he had done bullpen work in late 2014 at Clutch in preparation for the college season, Darby reconnected with Clutch in 2016 to join the coaching staff for the fall season. Darby brings 20 years of baseball experience to the field, where he has developed his knowledge in pitching, hitting, fielding, and overall arm care and injury prevention.

While not at Clutch, Darby works as a full time real estate agent in San Marcos and enjoys spending time at the river, hiking new trails, and hanging out with friends.

Darby is excited to be a part of the Clutch Athletics family, and looks forward to many successful seasons to come.
