Mike Hoffman – Instructor

I was born in Fairfax, Virginia but have been a Texan for 20+ years. I played for teams growing up in the Dallas metroplex area and went to Arlington Martin High School in Arlington, Texas. During High School, I was a first team, all-district, award recipient and went to the Texas 5A State Tournament in 2012.  I also played for organizations such as the D-Bat Mustangs under Lance Phillips and won the AABC Mickey Mantle World Series that year, and was a runner up the following year. After the Mustangs, I played for the Dallas Yankees and the Texas Sticks.

Out of High School I attended Northeast Texas Community College (NTCC) in Mt. Pleasant, TX and spent 1 1/2 years there due to injuries. After NTCC, I was picked up by McMurry University in Abilene, TX where I finished out my college play career.

I have been coaching now for 7 years and this year is my second year coaching at Clutch. Over the years I have worked with 8-18 year-old youth and college players. Prior to Clutch, I worked for an organization called the ‘Cooperstown Cobras’ who were run by ex-professional players Shawn Morgan, Chad Tredaway, and Brad Hawpe. At Cooperstown I was a Coach and Strength & Conditioning Trainer.

I have been around baseball at a high level, and been fortunate enough to have played with some great athletes. I am excited to be here at Clutch Athletics and am devoted to helping these young athletes reach their baseball and training goals.
